On The Road (With A Laptop)
Agne and I met almost 10 years ago. We were both waitressing at an incredibly busy Thai restaurant, we had both freshly graduated from high school and needed to earn some cash to afford life in London. My best friend quickly became her best friend and we all ended up moving into a shabby flat in Dalston. Agne never talked much and I always pictured her in a corporate job with a safe salary and a pension fund.
Who knew she’d become the complete opposite – a freelance photographer touring the world in a camper van? How did she build this life? What happened to the ‘better safe than sorry’ person I knew? How did she meet her other half, Ignas, who’s even more crazy and free then she is? I had a lot of burning questions for her and I have a feeling you’ll really enjoy the answers.
“With our lifestyle and the nature of our work, we call ourselves gypsy freelancers.”
'It would be more accurate to say that I always felt I wouldn't be able to fit into the standard frames of life.”
